Leah Eichler, Founder and Principal

 

A early adopter of digital media, Leah ran the online news operation for Thomson Reuters, including Reuters.com, and liaised with major media clients. She also writes a column for the Globe and Mail on women and careers, loves dogs and drinks a ridiculous amount of coffee.

 

 

Mic Berman, Chief Advisor

 

Mic has over eighteen years broad-based experience in working with technology focused companies. Mic actively advises FreshBooks and a handful of other start-ups in her roster on strategic, marketing and operations initiatives. When she’s not doing that – she’s running her with partner Chris.

 

 

Jessamyn Smith, Technical Lead 

 

Jessamyn Smith has a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, and has been working as a software developer for over 10 years. She is passionate about increasing understanding of technology, and has mentored at a variety of women’s coding courses. She is also the creator of talkbackbot, an IRC bot that responds to “that’s what she said” with a quotation from a notable woman.

Amanda Cupido, Web editor / content manager

 

Amanda is a radio show producer at Newstalk 1010 in Toronto and works as a freelance writer for several outlets, including the QMI Agency and worldvision.ca. She has also worked as a host for Carnival Cruise Lines and is an avid traveller.  ”The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

 

 

Sanam Islam, Web writer / research assistant

A freelance journalist, Sanam enjoys writing about a variety of subjects ranging from the arts to personal finance. She is particularly drawn to women’s issues, which is why writing for Femme-O-nomics was a perfect fit. Her work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, the Financial Post and The National (in Abu Dhabi).  She loves to read, travel and eat a lot of chocolate.
