As the first woman to be appointed deputy minister for railways of the Russian Federation (RF) in 2001, Anna Belova is a role model for women in her country. Prior to her role at the RF, she held several top management positions in large Russian and multinational companies. She currently serves on the boards of numerous state-owned and private companies.
Maggie Berry decided to use her strong networking abilities and her interest in connecting and helping individuals succeed to launch her own website called Women in Technology. Through the website, Berry — who is managing director of Women in Technology — aims to increase the numbers of women who are working and succeeding in the UK’s technology industry. Since its launch, the site has become a well-known job board and networking platform for companies to attract more female IT employees.
As president of PepsiCo’s Asia Pacific region, Umran Beba has used her position in the corporate world to push for the advancement of women’s careers both at PepsiCo and throughout the world.
